All the while, treads of half-logs balanced on a single spiral beam rotate up the 48″ diameter trunk, protected by railings constructed from cedar and black birch twigs. The equally impressive floor-to-ceiling mirror reflects the majestic staircase, as well as the abundant natural light from the skylights above.

Stepping back from the stair railing, guests will appreciate the wide-open floor plan of the Main Level and take in the sweeping view of Otsego Lake through multiple sets of French Doors. A secondary focal point is the chef’s kitchen, which was custom designed and built by a local Amish cabinetmaker from character cherry wood with maple details. Copper sinks and faucets, muted earth-tone granite counters, along with SubZero, Wolf and Azko appliances and an array of unusual touches add to the ambiance of the cathedral ceilinged space.
